The reality is, the more motivated, skilled and clear (MCS) we are on what we want in life, then the more deserved we shall be, to be the one doing the driving of our own life. Some days it is hard to tell the difference, A quick way to work out your hammer or nail status is to every day, through ought the day to ask yourself these 3 questions. "Is this short term pain contributing to my long term gain?"This keeps all your actions aligned with your own values, gives you purpose and fuel for persistence to achieve those things you most cherish.ACTION STEP>.....Be clear on what you expect out of life and understand that there are no free rides."Is this the best use of my time now?"A great question to stop and ask yourself for the rest of your life, and in more than career situations! If you get to the point where REACTION is your habitual mode then you have put yourself onto the treadmill that goes no where. From current personal experience I can tell you this is no fun, give yourself an uppercut and snap out of it! (I am in this process) Nobody really likes to be around "frantic reactors" for too long. You burn yourself out and you are not functioning anywhere near your best. If your like me at present, you are overweight, short tempered and look like the bottom of the budgie cage after a long week. Next, ask yourself the above 3 questions. Then call a Dr., call a fitness consultant, call a coach, book in to a health retreat for a week, call your partner, your kids, your mum and dad, tell them you love them, but don't call me unless it is for engagements in 2004.
