Adrian
Caruso is TA
Fastrack's Founder and CEO. He is also our Head Consultant and Master Business Coach. Adrian
has completed a Bachelor of Business with majors in Accounting, Management and Marketing at the Queensland University of Technology. He is an industry author
and keynote and educational speaker. Adrian has been in and around
the travel and tourism industry since the day he was born literally.
His father, Comm. Carmelo Caruso OAM established one of Australia's
first travel and tourism companies, back in 1950 in Brisbane, Australia.. |
After working in his father's travel and tourism businesses for several years,
Adrian decided to go out on his own and started Caruso's Traveland
in 1992 in one of Australia's largest shopping centres, Westfield Carindale.
At the age of 23 he was Australia's youngest Traveland franchisee. This
travel centre is still one of Australia's leading travel companies and now owned by Adrian's brother, Fabio Caruso.
Adrian progressively opened
several more travel centres
to become one of Traveland's largest franchise operators. Adrian was also a
pioneer in the on-line travel industry by launching one of Australia's
first travel websites. It quickly became one of the most profitable travel
websites in Australia (based on return on investment).

Adrian took the opportunity to set up TA Fastrack to share his own and his
family's 56 years of travel and tourism expertise including owning some of Australia's
most successful and profitable travel companies. His vision was also to put together Australasia's best travel, tourism and hospitality industry team providing a dedicated source of the world-best solutions. Adrian has written several
books, industry publications and manuals. Adrian
also writes regular articles and columns for the Australian Federation of Travel Agents magazine, AFTA
Traveller, Travel Weekly and several other publications including a daily Business
+ Personal Success Tips article in Australia's number one travel and
tourism industry newsletter, e-travelblackboard. Adrian also presents a
regular series of workshops to the industry throughout Australia, New Zealand and Asia. Adrian is an experienced 'hands on' travel and
tourism operator, business coach, mentor and management consultant who has been in the travel industry since the day he was born.
He is a person who has been there and done it himself in the travel industry.

Tony Kamitsis is a senior management executive with over 20 years experience in the travel, tourism, hospitality and insurance industries with a broad base skill set acquired with national and global high profile organisations in leadership roles. Tony is also a Senior Client Partner at Franklin Covey.
He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors as well as member of a number of industry boards. He has previously served on various industry boards and working groups including ATEC Victoria, HMAA and the Australian Travel Industry Council. Some of the wholly owned and franchise organisations he has been associated with are Ansett, Traveland, Elders IXL, QBE and the Quest Serviced Apartment group. He has personally managed a select group of strategic alliances, sponsorships, channel management and product development whilst providing leadership and direction to small but driven sales teams.

David Beirman - Consultant - Tourism Risk, Crisis and Recovery Management

Dr David Beirman is well known to the Australian travel industry. with over 26 years experience in retail travel agencies, wholesaling, consolidation and destination marketing. He also lectures tourism part-time at UTS. Beirman was Director of the Israel Government Tourism Office in Sydney between 1994-2006. From 2001-6 he was founder, inaugural Chairman and National Secretary of the Eastern Mediterranean Tourism Association (EMTA). Since the publication of his book “Restoring Tourism in Crisis” in 2003, Dr Beirman has been invited as a keynote or major speaker on tourism crisis management at academic and tourism industry conferences in 15 countries (including Australia). |
He has conducted crisis management training seminars for over 2,000 travel professionals from 20 countries including Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Israel, Fiji, Korea, Trinidad & Tobago, Jamaica, Canada and the USA. In the week prior to the TA Fastrack courses in Australia, Beirman will have completed crisis and recovery management training for the tourism industry leadership of Fiji. NB This course is run after office hours so there is no disruption to your working day.

Malcolm

Malcolm Burrows is an eCommerce guru, bringing with him over 17 years experience from related industries. Commencing his early career in 1989 as the CEO of Yes Resources, Malcolm then moved on to work as the start up Managing Director for www.quickbeds.com, a Partner/Consultant for Burrows Allen & Partners, the Global eCommerce Director for Backpackers Xpress and most recently the General Manager of eCommerce for Tourism Queensland and Sunlover Holidays.
Malcolm has also earned a Bachelor of Business majoring in Economics at the Queensland University of Technology, along with his Masters in Business Administration. He is recently completed a Bachelor of Laws. |

Zoe Gorbunow - Marketing and Business Coordinator

Zoe Gorbunow is TA Fastrack's Marketing and Business Coordinator. It is her passion for marketing, communications and brand development that has seen her become an asset to our team.
Zoe finished her Bachelor of Mass Communications majoring in Public Relations and Journalism at the Queensland University of Technology in November 2005. Her marketing skills have been utilised across a diverse range of companies and has recently decided to pursue a career within the travel and tourism industry. |

Maria Mikhalyak -Senior Graphic Designer

Maria Mikhalyak is a highly skilled professional graphic designer who is dedicated to achieving the highest standards for TA Fastrack clients. After completing her Honours in Visual Communication design, Maria has won many awards and has gained over 8 years experience in the print and design industry.
Over the years Maria has had vast experience with corporate and government organisations, looking after key accounts and designing for large entities such as Telecom, AMP and the New Zealand and Queensland Governments. She has also designed a book by famous author Lewis Carroll after studying expressive experimental typography extensively.
Specialising in corporate identity; flyer, brochure, magazine and newsletter production; large format displays; press advertisements; as well as website and e-newsletter design and development, Maria is renowned for being a diligent and industrious designer. Her creative and professional approach to each project is an obvious attribute.
